Just as you wouldnt deliver a speech to thousands of people without rehearsing it first, media training is an essential ingredient in ensuring company executives and spokespeople are prepared to engage with print, broadcast and electronic media.
Whether being interviewed by a local newspaper reporter, a prominent trade magazine or The Wall Street Journal, knowing how the media works, how to "control" an interview situation and how to clearly get key messages across are critical skills to ensure a successful media interview.
Many people do not like how they appear on television, sound on radio, or are quoted in print. In fact, they find their quotes are taken out of context or are edited to the point where the words no longer express what they were trying to say. Or, they spend time talking with a reporter, and dont get quoted at all.
Brazer Communications Media Training trains spokespeople on how to control the media interview, convey key messages and establish mutually beneficial relationships with the media. In addition, we will instruct participants how to turn around controversy, build credibility for their company and its products or services, and deliver quotes and soundbytes that reporters are more likely to use in their stories.
Brazer Communications media trains up to four people in half- and full-day sessions.
